AI image analysis by imaging hardware
Real world applications by our clients.
Easy. Fast. Powerful.
Camera and Video
Many applications of Wolution require only ordinary low cost cameras or video cameras. Here are some usage examples from our customers.
Measuring cell culture growth
Wolution can easily quantify the size and growth of cell cultures, for example in a petri dish.
Tracking moving objects in videos
Wolution video object detection can analyze videos frame by frame, find the objects in the frame, and even generate track data that shows the object’s movement. For example Wolution is being used to track animals through their facility. For live video analysis see our AnimalVision product.
Measuring the root network of plants
Wolution is being used to segment root images and even finds very fine roots that other algorithms may smooth away.
Microscopy
A focus of Wolution is the anlysis of microscope data. Our system is compatible with various data formats.
Cell segmentation
Wolution is powerful at analyzing microscope images of organic materials and often used to detect and quantify cell membrane, cytoplasma and nucleus.
Slide scanners
Microscopy images can be very large if generated by slide scanners. Processing such large images can be difficult with ordinary tools. Wolution helps you to analyze images of arbitrary size.
UAV/drone and satellite images
Aerial or satellite image applications are also supported by Wolution.
Drone images
Wolution can be used to quantify plant growth using drone images. For this purpose, Wolution conserves positional meta data in the imaging files.
Satellite images
Wolution supports file formats suitable for GIS (geographic information system) applications. For example, Wolution was used to find dolines (small sink holes) in satellite images.
Hyperspectral images
Hyperspectral cameras, which make images in a wide range of wavelengths, are becoming increasingly available. However most AI image analysis software does not support their image data. Wolution has experience with such data from several research projects.
Computer vision with arbitrary many channels
Wolution can analyze an arbitrary number of wavelength channels and thus extract the maximum amount of information. For example, Wolution was used to early detect plant diseases from hyperspectral data, before the disease was visible with optical cameras.
File compression
Hyperspectral cameras often make extremely large images files. Wolution can generate various smaller summary files that are easier to handle but retain the important information.
Identifying critical wave lengths
With hyperspectral data, it is often unclear from what wavelengths the information is coming. Wolution provides you with an importance ranking of the different channels for your classification task.
