Wolution makes it easy to automatize image segmentation which is extremely time consuming to do by hand. Based on a few user generated training images, the algorithm learns to segment images in domains such as cytoplasma or nucleus.
For some tasks it is more efficient to detect object locations, rather than segment the entire image. Training data for object detection is very fast to generate, simply by placing bounding boxes in the images.
Marker counting and statistics
Based on the segmented image, Wolution delivers numerical outputs for a wide list of statistical quantities. For example, Wolution can count the number of markers within the cell domain.
